10 Phrasal Verbs You Need to Know.

1. Think over

Think over the offer, Think over what happened

Definition: To consider or think about something. Usually to better understand something or to make a decision.

Example: “When I was offered the job, I told them I’ll think it over and let them know by the end of the week.”

2. Run out

Run out of battery, Run out of energy

Definition: To finish something. To have no more of something.

Example: “The cafe ran out of milk so I ordered an espresso instead of a latte.”

3. Hand in

Hand in your homework, Hand in the paperwork.

Definition: To give or submit something to someone. Usually to a person of authority such as a teacher or police officer.

Example: “I found a wallet in the train station and handed it in to the police.”

4. Hang out

Definition: To spend time with.
